Howdy...
I see that you got into the trouble which you should not be... That is another reason why you should not use scenes in Flash...
Do not use scenes next time... Use Frame Labels to navigate within the movie...
Okay... Back to your problem...
You are saying that you have a movieclip A in scene1 and scene2... and they don't play throughout the scenes...
This is the only thing I can think of...
At the end of the scene1, or when you need to go to the scene2, get the _currentframe property of the movieclip A... and as soon as you are in the scene2, use gotoAndPlay(the _currentframe value) on the movieclip A to resume the play... However, if there is any variable or values from the previous scene, it will be messy to transfer all the values to the movieclip in the next scene...
Good luck...

Thanks for helping.
U mentioned not to use Scenes. So you're saying to put the entire site in one scene, on one timeline?! Is this truley wiser than multiple scenes?

Yes, one scene for whole movie...
Wiser??? I am not sure if it is... But let me tell you that if you do not use scene, you will keep more hair... :D

If you want to keep a setup like that of scenes, you can simulate it by using mcs. Just place stop() on every keyframe and have a container clip and be sure to label each of those frames as well.
