Hey, I'm an absolute beginner to actionscript but I want to start using flash to make a few things, Like games or webpages or similar stuff.
Can anyone give me a heads up where I should start or even better link me to some tut's or something?

Well, there are a lot of tutorials in the tutorial section here at actionscript.org. The same is true for several other similar sites like flashkit.com. Also you can learn a lot by simply reading the flash manual. But the most effective way is probably to invest a few bucks in it. Either check out tutorial series of lynda.com or totaltraining.com or get a good book like http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Flash-Professional-Classroom-Book/dp/032157382X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1289663122&sr=8-1

Thank you so much :)
Flashkit appears to be much easier to understand that most tutorials on here.
But with regards to books.. I'm running Flash Professional 8 :S could you advise any books for that version? I couldn't find the book you suggested's Flash 8 version :(

This one perhaps? http://www.amazon.com/Macromedia-Flash-Professional-Hands--Training/dp/B002ECEH3S/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1289776168&sr=8-4. This book will teach you the basics of the interface, how to use the flash IDE, and then move on some basics in actionscript. It also got a beyond the basics version at http://www.amazon.com/Macromedia-Professional-Beyond-Basics-Training/dp/0321293878/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_b focusing more on actionscript.
