Flash player usage stats

Hi Everyone,

We have a new project requirement for school education related to maps, we are not able to decide whether Flash or Javascript would be a better option.
It would be great to know the usage of Flash player for similar projects in UK and Europe schools.

I think most schools have it installed, but If you want to be sure go for javascript,
since not everyone will have the rights to install flash if it's not installed on a school computer.

I have no idea where you might find stats that specific. But have you seen this page on Adobe's site (http://www.adobe.com/products/player_census/flashplayer/version_penetration.html)? Flash Player 9 and below have 99% penetration in Europe...

I think you could include as part of the program package a debug version of the Flash Player projector (downloadable from Adobe), that way your program's guaranteed to run anywhere.
