I was going through the tutorial on opening documents from a local presentation and had a Mac question. The linked forum thread (http://www.actionscripts.org/forums/showthread.php3?threadid=5843&perpage=15&pagenumber=1) mentioned using an applescript to open a pdf document. Perhaps it's just my inexperience with actionscript or Macs, but wouldn't it be easier to use getURL to launch the document?
I've set it up to work with pdfs and word docs. Is there something obvious that I'm overlooking here?
