After I import/embed a QuickTime movie into MX, there's a stutter in the
playback. Here's a before and after example:

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Did you change the Framerate of the SWF?
Maybe something went wrong while importing the qt?

This occurred to me, so I was very careful when importing to match one to one on the frame rate of the qt and the swf. I thought it might be related to the quality setting, but trying it at 95 still produced the stutter.

Also, I thought it might have something to do with how 3D max exported animation. So took the clip into Premiere and then exported with animation compression. When I ebedded that clip into flash, the same results occured.

And the original file that is imported doesn't stutter?
Hmmm... bizar

I figured out how to solve the problem....spend $119 on a copy of Sorenson Squeeze 3 for Macromedia Flash MX.

Not only was the problem fixed, but Squeeze 3's .flv files were 50% smaller. I imported the .flv file and it worked perfectly.

I did a frame by frame check of the original file and I found that MX added a few extra frames at random points in the sequence. This is what caused the stutter.

If you’re importing QT into Flash, you may want to check that you’re not getting extra frames. An easy way to do it is to check the time length of the original versus the imported. If the imported version is longer, then you’ve got extra frames.

Thanx bro, I never experienced those problems but it might always happen. Thanx again for the tip. :)
