fading a picture in and out

i am trying to fade a picture in and out using a motion tween.

This is how it is used in the rest of the templete i downloaded.

Can someone plz point me into a direction to find out how to do this

Convert your picture to a Movie, so you can tween it... :)

put your graphic(s) on stage one clip per layer.They must be either a movieclip or graphic symbol.create key frame(s) and change the alpha. then select the first keyframe and change the frame tweening property to motion. Do they same for each subsequent key frame until you have blue backgrounded arrows covering the whole of your frame to be tweened.

how do u make the do you make the keyframe alpha?

You don't make the keyframe alpha but the MC that's placed in that specific frame.
Check the zip file... :)

what version is it? i get unexpected file format error.
i am using flash 5.

thank you for your help, i found out where the alpha was and now the picture is fading.
