I really like this effect, and when I mention the web address everyone is gonna sigh and complain but I want to learn how to do it. I know (or think) it has to do with masking. Okay I get that part, does anyone have any examples or tuts that I can take a look at. Okay here goes I like the effect that is the transition phase between section on the 2advanced site.

I know I've seen this on about a dozen or so sites, but this came to mind first.
Thanks

Had some free time so I threw something together. Keep in mind it's very sloppy and should probably be broken down into a series of smaller animations for ease of use.
Seems the key to a 2Advanced type site is a high frame rate and to tween everything, but never tween more than 2 things at once. It's also important to limit the area of your animations to small portions of the screen. A series of quick small animations will run significantly faster than 4 simultaneous fullscreen effects.
Hope it helps,

Thats perfect Thank you. I had to laugh out load because as I was reading the text I had my face plastered up against the moniter. My plan is not copy a 2a site just use that effect with the morphing box. Thanks again.

Okay maybe I'm not as good at Flash as I thought I was. But what is the reasoning behind changing your MC to a graphic? Does it make the file size smaller?

For the record, there are no MC's in the File I attached.
The "Creeping Flicker" is a graphic rather than a clip because you can view graphics in the authoring environment as they would appear in a published SWF. Try converting it to a clip and dragging the frame selector (red square above the timeline's keyframes) within Flash.
If you are referring to all the other Graphics used in the file then the answer is simple. If you want to do a "Motion" tween on anything it needs to be a MC or a graphic.
Not real sure but I believe Graphics use slightly less resources than MovieClips because they don't carry the weight of ActionScript.
