flash -> php -> xml

I want to use flash as an admin frontend, or if it's possible as the whole admin-part of the site. I mean type some vars in a flash textfield and they get saved to an xml file.

I saw somewhere that it's possible "only" thru php first. The thing is i can't find any good tutorial och any good info on how...
i've read in the php-manual that usually is great but on the xml part i'm lost...crap.

Hope you see what i mean and can help me
