connect flash with .mdb without serverside script

hi all im new here i want to make a simple app with flash to fetch data from an access database since it wont be on a website and lets say with no internet access at all it will be running on my desktop. is there a way i can connect my flash to that database directly and maybe have an xml file contain my query or something but no additional 3rd party app need to make the connection between the two and run on any pc that i put it on.what im saying is dont have to use php or asp wich both has to have the server service installed.

please help me out even connecting to flat file or excel will do just as long as i dont need any special app installed to make theconnection.
