I am trying to use the publish settings to export a good quality .gif, but Flash CS3 keeps using the settings from the last time I exported a .gif.
The settings under File/Export/Export Image are restricted compared to File/Publish Settings.
Just to be clear - If I export a .gif using File/Export/Export Image and I set the number of colours to 4 I get a poor quality, low file size .gif - not surprising. But if I then use the File/Publish Settings and increase the number of colours and add Dither Difusion and publish then I still get the same poor quality, low file size .gif.
I have tried restarting Flash and creating a new document but keep getting the same results. I have tested the same problem in Flash CS5 and also get the same results. This cannot be right - can it?
Thank you very much for your time.
