Is it normal for dynamic text to not show up behind a mask(the text is in a movie clip)
If it isn't then does anyone know how to get around/fix it?
This seemingly simple thing is kicking my butt.

I've found it also impossible to do so...
must be something with flash not knowing what to mask...
unfortunately I don't know any workaround...

Actually, there is one solution. However, from my experience it has solved one problem and created another.
If you embed the font associated with your dynamic text box, the text will show when the text box is masked.
The down side to this is that embedded fonts do not display as nicely. They are not as crisp. I do believe, however, that there are some special fonts out there especially for Flash that when you embed them, they do display nicely.
In most cases, this may not even be problem. Depending on the size of the font, it may not even really matter.
