Does anyone know how to do a swirl effect in MX where, say, 2 bars of different colour come in from opposite sides of the screen, meet each other in the middle and then swirl together (so you see both colours in the swirl)? i've checked flashkit etc. but can't seem to find any answers.
Thanks muchly.

I've never tried this but you could probably create an animation of your 2 colors sliding straight toward each other and call it "Colors". That's the easy part.
Then create a series of concentric rings to use as masks. Each ring will mask a copy of your Colors clip. After doing this, if you were to play the animation it should look like a single Colors clip even though it's cut up into a bunch of rings.
To create the swirl effect you would then rotate each ring slightly as the Colors clip played. The center rings would need to rotate at a faster rate than the outer rings to look like a swirl.
Hope that makes sense or maybe helps a little.

thanks for your help. but alas, after much searching and wasted work time, I abandoned my idea as nothing was working out. your idea sounds sensible enough, though, but methinks I's lacking in the knowledge stuffs to make that thing there work.
