controlling from in a loaded swf the mother swf ?

Yes, again a probably simple one ... but can't figure it out ..

i've got my "main" swf that is actually just the navigation & some visual thing .. on relase there will be another swf loaded in to the player ... it does it's things but then i want to control a movieclip that is in the main swf ( mc , visible, true )

is this possible & if so ... how ..

do i have to give the complete full path ?
i tried that but it didn't work ( like: _main.swf_root_movieclipinstancename )

should do it.

If you are targeting from level1 use;

_level0.mcName._visible=true;
