Hello.
I have a .NET 4.0 application (not written by me) which calls Flash ads into itself via the DFP ad server. The ads are written into a .NET browser object. They display perfectly.
However, SOME users, when clicking the ads, see the new window going behind the application. This only occurs when they have an IE window open already.
Example:
User opens IE and goes to CNN.com. User opens my application. User clicks an ad in my application. New IE window appears behind application. (NOT desired behavior.)
Example 2:
User opens my application. User clicks an ad in my application. New IE window appears in front of application. (Desired behavior.)
It's not happening with every ad, and it's not happening with every user. However, it is happening in IE9, 8, and 7, on both Windows XP and 7.
Our best guess is that it's a settings issue on the user's computer, but without some sort of article to back that up, we can't very well go to our clients and say "yeah, it's the users' computers".
Any suggestions, links to other forum posts, whatever you've got, would be very helpful. Unfortunately I can't share the app or screenshots from it, because it's not out yet. I wish I could.
Thank you.
