scrolling objects instead of text

Trying to scroll a vertical string of buttons within a dynamic text box. Each button triggers its own mc.

Is this feasable, or do I merely create a masked movie-clip and fake the scrolling?

Attempting to re-create 2Advanced.com Portfolio section.

check out the scrollpane component

this post talks about scrolling mc's using the scrollBar component as opposed to the scrollPane. i ended up adding some inertia to the movement as well.
