Game Controls??

Hi all,

Im trying to create a Soccer penalty shoot out game and am designing the controls based on the style of controls found at this site:
StrengthCoach.com (http://www.StrengthCoach.com )
(in the games section).

I have made an attempt at creating these controls with the pointers determining the amount of power and angle of the ball but am not sure im going the best way about it. Anybody any ideas as the best way to do this??

The source file im using is attached.

NB. I havent included the actionscript for the ball movement yet.
