How could I do this?

I am trying to finish off my bands site and would apreciate any advice. the address is

what I want to happen is: when you click on the top button the bottom white line of the logo scroles down to reveal some content. when another button is pressed this content scroles back up and then scroles down with new content.
please tell me if this is posible

p.s. I know the hit points on the buttons are not sorted at the moment.

For some reason I have alot of trouble understanding peoples questions on this forum..surely it is me though. Anyway if I understand you correctly you want to drop your information MC from the top behind the links.

This is what I would do.

I would have your current main page (minus the links) as my main SWF. Then I would use loadMovie to load the links with a solid black background box, and I would load it into a high level, like 100 or something. Then i would load subsequent information MC's into levels lower then the linksMC and then animate them to slide into place.

There are many ways to accomplish this, but I would use the way I described so I could load content on the fly and the client would not have to download the entire website.

What I was having difficulty with is once the content of say the first button has loaded and animated down. i want the animation to go back up in reverse. so it sweep down revealing the content then after clicking on another button it closes that content before doing the same animation with the new content. what keeps happening is when I click on a new button the new animation just starts playing rather than finishing the first buttons animation of closing the content. Pehaps I need some kind of global finish animation that plays whenever another button but the one I am on at the moment is pressed.
I hope this is a little clearer.

I am sorry to disapoint you but I cheated completly. I used a Flash component to make it slide, I only started learning actionScript about two weeks ago.

Im same as you..ive only just started. my friend helped with the rotation menu and put in the script.

im just using bit and bats from tutorials etc to learn and hopfully i will pick action scrpit the more i look at it..lol

well ive being DJing for around 7-8years but gave it up when i had a daughter. I was into everything from hardcore, break beat, techno, house hard house trance everything. but im trying to learn web design...lol..yeh right. honeslty m8, what you want to do with your webby is only a dream to me..that link you posted. wow that site rocks and if you do get anywhere near that...god i wish! i have only learnt how to tween motion..thats it and create links and buttons. Action script give me a headache at the moment. but hopefully...one day!. i having trouble with masking ..abit like your site...with the backgound underneith the navigation tools etc. and that component which you recomended i cant seem to work..even going through the tutorial it wont work. im using MX does this make any diff?
