So, anyone heard the new Radiohead album?
What do you think?
It's a bit odd. Lots of tracks that start off slow and whiney and then go mental at the end :D
I was just coding something, and the track "There There" came on in the background.
It's one of those tracks where if you're not really concentrating the build up takes you completely by surprise. Quality indeed.
I found that I started coding at twice the speed and gritting my teeth like some depraved mad thing. Always the sign of a quality track!

Aha... why don't you send that track to Strok so that he could make something portable and put it as a background for the forum area??? I am sure lots of people will not need to answer that many threads... :D

I have absolutely no idea what you're going on about Cyan - lol ...
I notice I managed to use the word "track" four times in my last post. Such a great grasp of the English language that I have!
I've got the music on so loud I can't even hear myself type :)

Well, I started off talking about the new Radiohead album, and then I'm not sure what happened ;)
I'm beginning to have my suspicions about Cyan. I don't think he's a real person. I think he's one of those automated chat bots that takes a few words from a post and generates a random reply. Sometimes, as luck would have it, those responses make sense :]

I must admit that tracks 1 and 2 have grown on me a lot.
After 'ok computer' I thought they went a bit odd, but still did the occassional good track. This new album is sort of a mix between their old stuff and the last two albums I think.
It's certainly not easy listening, but then I think they've always had that ability to write songs that grown on you after a while.

i agree with tg.
anyone hear the previous (unfinished version) of hail to the thief? um, my "friend" heard it and it's possibly better than the finished version... they sped some of the songs up, and cut a 20 second intro from one of them. myxomatosis sounds very different as well.
still a very good album, but i think "the bends" is probably better (but it's pretty close between them).

Yeah I think I met your friend. Looks a bit like you doesn't he :)
No, I didn't hear it, but I'd be very interested to do so.
Some of the live recordings I've heard have got a great energy to them.
Useless info:
I used to live in Oxford when Radiohead first started out - before they became so huge. They used to allegedly drink in the same pub as us - this great place called the New Inn on Cowley Road, (now it's been done out and is quite hideous), so we used to keep one eye open just to see if we'd recognise 'em. We never saw them, but "The cool guy with the huge sideburns" who used to drink in there quite a bit became famous about a year later - turned out to be Gaz from Supergrass.
I think the Bends and OK have to be in my top 5 albums.
I like every album, but I just can't bring myself to call Amnesiac 'great'. As much as I love Radiohead I can't help thinking a couple of tracks on there are the wrong side of dodgy - :)
