anyway back on topic :)
at the moment some favourites are,
Pullman - acoustic band from the chicago post rock scene. collaborators with David Pajo (formally of slint) now in Billy Corgan's new band
Asa Chang and Junray - really stange electronica from japan, beautiful tunes and weird noises :D
Four Tet - kind of like a british DJ Shadow, folk guitar music with beats :)
At The Drive-In - US Punk, sadly they split up a while back, but they were great while they lasted. i'm also looking forward to hearing the debut album by The Mars Volta one of the spin off bands when ATD-I split.
Lambchop - Alt county band from nashville, i'm still puzzled how and band with so many members can be so quiet
I also just ordered the new Mogwai album, can't wait :D
I think that'll do for now :)

I saw the Ozric Tentacles a few weeks ago.
Now that is good, freak out stuff.
They were supporting Hawkwind (who were embarrassingly old and awful).

There's a commercial here that's using a DJ Mystic song...
As far as Aphex Twin, one of my favorites. And for those that wonder, it's one guy...
I love all kinds of music but especially lately are the following.
Vangelis
Jean Michel Jarre
Chicane
Paul Oakenfold
Tangerine Dream
And most of all SCATMAN!:p

Well I like gangsta rap because it is full of hatred and emotion.. keeps me from filling my life with hatred and emotion. But at this point my favorite band is SocialBurn. Their whole album is a classic if you ask me. I don't hear much about them though.

 seriously!? Well I wish I lived in the UK at the moment. Aphex Twin get's no play here, they don't even sell his CDs here (well most of them, they had some)! It drives me nuts!
It's funny how Mercedes used Windowlicker in the adverts considering what the term Windowlicker means, it fits perfectly :p
Annexion: Yeah, all the electronic artists I posted were one person. A lot of people tend to think Aphex Twin and Venetian Snares, and Squarepusher are each a whole band.

hehehe
I think this is still one of my favourite aphex twin stories though http://www.wired.com/news/culture/0,1284,52426,00.html
I guess its an advantage being near london, you're never too far from a decent record shop :)

Yeah, that story kinda made Aphex Twin famous for a bit...lol. It is indeed his most popular trick. Only true geniuses can be so great
Another advantage to living in London would be that you are close to some great Electronic artists.. they seem to like to stay overseas
Oh well, as long as tower, amazon, and cdnow stay up I can still find some of my favorite artists more mainstream cds so I guess that will do

I'm sure warpmart (http://www.warprecords.com/) would be able to help out :)
http://www.leilamusic.co.uk is quite entertaining for some mp3's
(if you've not heard of her leila used to be bjork's keyboard player before releasing a solo LP on rephlex and then moving on to XL records for a second album)
I particularly like the track Do You Got Time from the http://www.leilamusic.co.uk/cee1.htm page, it was meant to be on her second album but got removed due to sample clearance problems.

I think it was Just Mr. Hahn that was in the collab with The X-Ecutioners.
I think the singer/guitarist from Static-X was in there as well.

Nope, the X-ecutioners did that song with Mike Shinoda "Its going down" and then they went on tour together. I must say, my favourite members are the bass player (brad?) or Joe Hahn, he's the man

DJ Shadow/Dj Vadim
Sepultura
Public Enemy
Antonio Vivaldi
Dropkick Murphys
Anything by Hans Zimmer [especially the Gladiator Musical Score]

Check out Braddigan @ www.bradigan.com. It's lead by Brad C., one of the members of the former band Dispatch. They're a great group.
EDIT: The site appears to be down. Ah well. Happy 700 posts for me :D
