I recommend ADSL, Cable or Satelite connections to view this website. Unfortunately Telstra, my Telecommunications provider cant supply me with a connection affordable to my needs. Bastards!
Oh the site, very futuristic this site is. I liked it, do you?
Enjoy < http://www.trendax.com >

OMG! Really big download! Many folks out there are assuming that broadband is the norm, I think this is poor design for flashers that make commercial sites. Perpetuates the idea that flash is a novelty, I think good design yields web sites where the viewer does not think "oh this is that flash stuuf, gonna take a bit to download . . ."
And once this site came up, I was thinking: "what the hell was so freakin' big to download?". The voice file is big, but not that big, the graphics aren't worth that big of a download . . .
Just my opinion, not a great use of flash . . . cut the file size down by three and it will be a good design (jmo)
not only are the download times over the top for what you get, but the site motion is pretty chunky.

It is a pretty poorly put together site, i agree. I thought all the animations were creative, thats prob all that I liked about it.
thanks for decompressing it for me. I really only explored two sections to be honest. I am glad I was not the only one whom lost my patience.

I've seen this one before also. The first graphic makes you think this site is gonna be great, but when the UI loads your kind of let down. I for one like talking sites. Anything to make me just a little more lazy is great, nothing like not having to think and having a sexy computer chic voice tell you to make a selection. Talking sites are great.
"oh this is that flash stuuf, gonna take a bit to download . . ."
I don't think thats the case some much anymore. A lot of poeple probably do think this still but I think the majority doesn't. Or at least thats what I tell the people I work for. ;)

yeah, I'm starting to see more employers not seeinf flash as a novelty and as a very viable and needed tool. hooray for us!!:)

Humm I have a 256k DSL and it took less then a minute to load the whole site, which isn't that long.

on dial-up, it's several minutes. when the average time people spend on a site is measured in seconds, this is a hell of a wait for what you get.

Well that's what the HTML site is for. Flash and Dial up aren't the perfect pair. Not to say that's it's the perfect site.

HTML is like looking into the past, dont get me wrong it is still widely used and very effectly but overall flash gives you more than HTML can ever offer.
why should we have to settle for HTML? 'spriggan' consider yourself lucky that you have the option! You're point has been taken, at least we have a secondary option, but 9/10 that just aint good enough.......!

I'm gonna have to disagree with the common opinion so far, I really liked the site for its design. It's design is very clean and takes you into another world, almost forgetting you are on a website.
While the HTML version is not nearly as cool I think it does exactly what it is supposed to, offer an alternative to those who can't have all the bells and whistles. On the other hand, I am using broadband and all of the wait times were acceptable to me. There was never a point when I thought the wait was too long.
My biggest problem with the site had nothing to do with the design actually. This is an investment firm/site that doesn't relay that message to me very well. I took a look at the profit calculator and the two options were a 25% and 50% return on my money. WELL DUH! If there was one company out there that could get my money even close to that I would sell my blood just to get some. That's totally unrealistic and makes me not interested in their site as a legitimate business. This is no small price here too, the minimum investment is 10k, yikes. If I were looking for a place to spend 10k do you think my only concern would be the 'AI brain'. Nope, I want to feel all warm and cozy that my money is going to a legitimate place.
Just my ramblin'

HTML is a thing of the past.......yeah to us because were Flashers, but the rest of the free loving world still get googley eyes over a great HTML site.
Which reminds me of a story. My gf and I were driving and we saw a guy with personalized plates on his car that said HTML. Well before I had a chance to comment my gf goes whats
HIT-MAL? (thats how she pronounced it) I about pissed myself laughing. She's not the most computer savy person I know, but when you bf is ion the business you should have some clue. It was too funny.
Motion do you guys have broadband down under?

We do have broadband downunder. However our main telecommunications supplier 'Telstra' is half owned by the government and half owned by another company.
When the Liberals were voted in to government not so long ago Australia started to sell off a lot of its assets.
Telecommunications & Electricity the name a couple. So now there is economic problems with our telecommunications company and they are struggling to supply services.
Me personally I am 5km from the nearest exchange in a Metro area. I am in the ADSL qualifying radius but I still cant get ADSL because it is a poor connection.
To make things even more frustrating I cant even speak to someone that can fix the line or tell me when I can receieve the service.
The government has just funded our service by giving AU200 Million Dollars for Country & Rural Services. The funny thing is and all Aussies are laughing about is that they cant even supply the Metro Area. How they going to fix services in the Outback?
Everyday the lay off workers. Im not sure when Australia will catch up with countries suchs as UK & Europe but at the moment we are going through a crisis.
