If you WERE experiencing page load delays please read this thread

OK team we're looking for assistance from those of you who were experiencing page loading delays a while back (and probably still are).
Remember we suspected it was the port the ads system was running on? Well now we have a way to check.

If you previously experienced very long page load times every time you visited the site from work, Uni, etc. please post here and comment on any difference in load times you notice between the Forums (which aren't running the ad system) and the homepage (which is). If we find that users are experiencing problems due to the port the ads are running on, we can change it, but it's a lot of work so we need to find out for sure first.

I was experiencing long delays at work a couple of weeks ago. I think it was going to the home page mostly, but it was fine at home so I'm not sure its relavant... it might be that I was going straight to specific forums from home and to the home page at work. I've been on holiday since so Im unable to check, but I will do as soon as I get back to work this week.:)

OK cool keep us posted. I'm thinking perhaps it's not such a big issue and theproblem was being caused originally just by the slowness of the old server in general.

everything is working great. loads very fast now. i'm also getting all of the adds again, so that old problem is gone for me too.


once again. i can't thank you and strok enough for all you hard work and effort. you guys run a great site here.
