Is there a way to build a Flash IRC client/applet to use in a webpage? I can't find any on the internet that actually connect to an IRC server.

You would need some sort of middleware, I am pretty sure there are some php classes for interacting with IRC servers. You have access to PHP?

I use php for other stuff also, on the server.
