I think I'm finally finishing up with a project that I've been working on since MX came out, and am looking for some feedback. It's a Flash template composed of over 30 unique, interrelated components designed to facilitate the creation of business presentations (a la Powerpoint, but with features of Flash).

The template is made up of chart components, image and text animators, managers for animation and navigation, and interfaces for map and timeline navigation. Everything works together to create a seamless slide presentation without the developer having to get under the hood and code ANYTHING (if they don't want to).

The online demo is located here:

http://www.27Bobs.com/Impact/Impact_preload.html

While viewing it, remember that there was no code involved in the actual creation of the presentation-- it's all done behind the scenes in the template.

I'm currently working on documentation. Any last minute suggestions or notes on buggy behavior would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you hit the control key on your keyboard, a folders navigation system opens up, allowing you to go to any slide immediately.

Hmm. Loading fine for me. Perhaps (hopefully) it was just a temporary issue with the server.

I like the font (what is it?) and I like the falling effect. It is a big download on dial-up but I think that is to be expected with what you are loading and the user will understand that.

But the animation for each section may be a bit much. Perhaps if it were twice as fast, it would be less annoying. By the time I got to section five, it was old . . .

Overall though, pretty good!:)

Thanks for checking it out. The preloader uses a font from Fonts For Flash (I think its FFF Professional).

Yeah, I agree about the animations. I myself am not a big fan of animations in presentations anyway. They're there just to show the capabilities, and I wanted to be consistent. I guess I could speed them up a bit...

I read an interview with Eric Jordan on Ultrashock the other day speaking of this topic. He said that it is always better to go faster than you think. It will look better and you don't have to be as picky with the quality of the graphics. Of course, yours is text effect. But faster would look more professional and polished I believe. Thanks for the font info, I hav FFF Professional but have nevet used whit on black and it looks real good on your site. Good job! :)
