The problem is probably in your forum display settings. If you cant find a thread you know is there, adjust the display filter (pull-downs at the bottom) - in most cases just use, instead of 30 days, from the start or whatever, to see them all. This can be an issue when dealing with forums with less traffic and more concentrated posts.
