Does anyone know a good tutorial for databases that can be used to store and register passwords for Flash 5.

Haven't seen any tutorials, but here's an example: goto http://www.snowvids.com then hit "test stuff". then after it loads you'll see a login and registration window: Sometimes just seeing a bunch of examples can be just as good as a tutorial. Later.
