Security Issues

Just wondering does this cover up the security issues of processing credit numbers and other higly confidential information by having an asp script write to a textfield in a folder that needs password and username to access and view over the internet.

Cause my supervisor thinks so but I would like some understanding on this issue for future references.

thats not secure unless your using ssl.

do a search on ssl... there are more/better sources out there.

nope no nothing, my supervisor just set the folder's permission thats all :confused:
