My client already has a web site- I was hired to make it nicer. The original web designer created the site in all flash. The measurement of the site is 1022 X 756- I recreated the site using these dimensions 750 X 500. The client loves the work- but the pictures are blurry. The weird thing is when I make the pics bigger they seem to get better. Also my screen is 18" - my clients screen is 21" - so when I viewed it over there it was horrible. Any suggestions.

Howdy... ;)

The easiest way of doing it might be editing the image files in Photoshop and reimport it back to Flash if you have the image file available...

If the image file is not available, then you might be resizing the image file within the Flash to make it fit into the smaller resolution... You might want to play with the resizing percentage to find the better image quality... If possible, move the image file into the empty movieclip and change the scale factor of the movieclip instead of the image file...

Just my 2 cents... ;)

Hello- thanks for the reply- unfortunately the pics I have are already sized in Photoshop.

Why would you turn the into a mc before you scale it?

On my 18 inch monitor the pics look great- so it is pixilating on his 21 inch monitor.

This is the thing that gets me confused- normally if this was my own file I would make the pic bigger and then scale it smaller in flash. That way it has room to stretch -but what gets me is- even though the original flash file is 1022 X 756- the same pics are bigger then the size I am using and are not pixilating

Try setting _quality to "best" - I had the same problem too and this solved it.
