Hi everybody,

I would like to have your suggestion on the best book to buy to go on actionscripting. I want something from beginner level (that probably tell me what is every part of a script and so) to a high level.

Thank s a lot

I would recommend Macromedia Flash Advanced by Russell Chun (don't worry about the word 'advanced'). ISBN 0-201-75846-6

However, this question has been asked lots and you'll find many other recommendations, as well as arguments about other people's choices (sigh :)).

Do a search for 'books' and you'll find a few recent-ish hits.

One more thing: you'll never get by with just one book. You'll have to buy others.

I have the same book above and love it. I highly recommend it.

lots of great books out there, one I like for starting is Flash MX Designer's ActionScript Reference

and of course, ASDG by Moock

i just got Flash MX magic and Flash MX actionscripting advanced from the source today. Can't recommend them yet as I haven't read them :) Flash MX magic looks like a good read. So far Flash MX actionscripting advanced seems like a redundant read compared to Colin Moock Actionscript for MX, which I have read twice ;).
