JPEG - blowout??

Hi there,
I have a movie clip that has approx 40 images, dimentions:150X100, they range from 4 - 8 k.
I can import them fine and lay them out in the movie clip no problems. It's when I export the file some of the JPEG's appear as horizontal bars of colour/black and white? The movie clip is scrolling, not that I would have thought that would make a difference?
Any thoughts as to why it all goes funny? is there some recommended JPEG limit?

While going for a walk with the kiddies, I had one of "those" brain-waves. It works to, rather than just being a good idea. here it is:
Instead of putting all the jpgs in one big MC I broke them up into groups of about 10 images or so and made several smaller MC's. Then putting the smaller MC's into one big one, the one that I wanted to work with.
Hay-presto no funny business, problem solved, all right! Kool etc
