OK, I hereby give myself the numbnuts award of the day. I cannot figure out how to export the fla to swf like I used to with Flash MX (suppose I should say I just downloaded Flash MX 2004). When I used to 'test movie' a swf would automatically be created for me. However, it doesn't do that anymore. Am I missing something or do I really have to manually save every swf?

Go to file>Export>Flash Movie....
that should be it ;)

Yeah, that's what I have been doing but that requires me to go through extra steps, unlike the old version. So the automatic creation of 'swf' files is gone now?

Oh, yeah, just test the movie. That creates a .swf file, with no extra steps.

That's not working for me. I have three different files open and when I do the 'test movie' they all go to the same darn swf file.

Talk about a dilemma... Now there are so many posts on this question that most will browse right on by because they think it's taken care of. Yet, I can't repost the question since it's bad 'forum etiquette'. And worst of all, I haven't figured it out...

Dude, I'm really sorry... I understand I suck at helping people, but I try :p
I'll explore MX2004 for something like that...

Well, to be honest it probably would have been better if you didn't respond if you didn't know what I was referring to. However, now that I got my complaint out of the way it's all right!
Hey, I just started using the new MX 2004 studio today, I like it so far, what do you think colin?
