but i'm surprise that there would be one.
it just came out.... people have so mux time on there hands. *lol
But anyway...i didn't mess around w/ mx 2004 yet....and probably not anytime soon.
I still like mx and it's ok for me.
I want to start getting into graphic designing...so will be looking into that more. Still deciding on whether or not to get swift 3d. *haha
By the time I make up my mind...there is a new version. ;)

Here's a thread I read about it on Actionscript.com (http://www.actionscript.com/archives/00000568.html) I found it interesting to read some of the comments, as well as how the crack actually works. Ethics, what fun.

not surprised.. and I'm no golden goat neither. I've used pirated software before..shoot every peice of software I know how to use originated from a pirated copy. I don't support it or endorse it. But if you gotta eat, you do what you gotta.

I think macromedia flash is definately worth buying (although I will have to wait till christmas to get enough money to afford it)
probably I will install the trial a second time, and keep using mx of course. :)

Yeah, I'm with you guys there. I'm not for pirating, but I've done it. If I hadn't I would never have learned most of what I know. Now that I have a solid base and will be starting a career, those day sare behind me and I'll purchase all my software. I like to show my support where I'm able, so I'd rather give the money to MM than stiff them for it. I'll be picking up Flash MX 2004 as soon as the wallet can support it. Actually, I might just get the whole Studio bundle, since Flash seems to make up most of the price tag for that anyway.

I'm going to wait till you guys can teach me how to use MX04 :D
Nah, really I'm to far into a plethora of current projects to even think about forging ahead. I seriously don't see myself doing anything with MX04 for atleast a year, I base this on my companies habits. No one in here will update their Flash players until something they want to see needs it to be updated (then they call me and I do it when I get time).
And when it comes to supporting software developers, I normally prefer to support the little guy. Ya know like open source stuff, I owe the people on this forum my entire wallet :p . But considering the fact that it is not my $, I'll support whoever has developed software that I need.
When I first came in this office, about 50% of all of their software was illegal. Not meaning that they download warez or anything, just that they purchased one copy and installed it on multiple machines. Like Office 2000 on 20 machines when they only had one disk :) . So I had to go through all the machines and document serial numbers and find out from MS what serial numbers we owned, and we ended up dropping $27,000 on new software in one fell swoop... and that of course became my fault. I guess in corp speak - it's not an issue if you don't get caught.
So someday, in the distant future I will be purchasing MX04, unless something else comes along.

@dzy2566: I guess most of us did it, because most programs are not affordable by simple pupils. And of course it isn't right.

My dad's a tech geek kinda, so I get software from him that he's already payed for, on the home computer. I'm also ashamed to say that I've pirated software before. But I really have no other choice. To do what I want to do is impossible with the money I'm making right now... :( I hate pirating software, even if I only have once, which was like 6 months ago, I wish I could afford it...
