Is it just me or have things gotten slow around here? I couldn't find anyone who needed help with something I understand all week.
(<note to self: Check grammer>)
I give 3-5 hours a day of my time Mon-Fri. The least people can do is have problems I can solve.
Nah, I'm fine. I'm just yanking your chains. :D
But things are a little slow. Can't do nothing about it though. Maybe I should hibernate a while until things pick up. :D
(<note to self: post more threads. 3 is not enough>)

There was no point in doing this but I did a search on my username
Don't know what this page is about. (http://club.china.alibaba.com/club/user/show?u=JunaHu&done=%2Fclub%2Fpost%2Fview%2F494258%3Fbid%3D1)
I was surprised to see that junahu was the only word I could make out on the page. I mean, what on earth is junahu? Is it just a username on some chinese website? Or is it something else?
PS: If anyone can understand this thread at all anymore I'll be well surprised.

I looked up your name in the dictionary, and jun is an abbreviation for junior and uho is an Asiatic gazelle
:p
junahu

ahu is an asiatic gazelle.
uho is an acronym for 'upper hatch open' apparently
(Like I have the right to nitpick other people's spelling);)
I always wanted to be a young gazelle though.

Yes, I do have a habit of doing that don't I? Man, I hate the way I'm posting now. Because of my *cough sabotaged* monitor I haven't been able to flash, which therefore means I'm not practicing or anything. And when i don't practice something, I usually get tired of it, which thens means I don't use it. Wait... is this confusing or what. :p:confused:
Basically, what I'm trying to say is, I haven't been helping to many people out because I can't really help them most of the time ie. look at .fla's Anyway, new monitors here, so I'll help some more people out. And AS.org is active. ;)

I used my swiss army knife and an old tin, some wire, a piece of wallpaper, some flowers for the color, and a very small dwarf.
I bound the dwarf with the feet on the tin, gave him the wallpaper and forced him (with the knife) to paint!

I've lost 6 friends to drunk drivers. 3 seperate accidents. Most recent was my friend who just recently married. He was riding with his wife when a drunk pulled out in front of them. They both passed and left behind a new born child. I also have my own experiences.. riding a bike is not cool.

sorry didn't mean to bring the thread down. Drinking and driving is just something I have to much experience with. A guy I know has 4 DUI's and is not yet 21. He can not have a license ever. Yet he still drives... go figure. Also have another friend who is the son of a cop. I was with him twice when the cop made him blow and he was over the limit both times. Then they found out who his dad was and let him go... go figure. :D

Just recently this kid I know was walking with 4 other people on a sidewalk. he got run down by a drunk driver. And then the driver fled the scene. argh, we better catch the bastard. *excuse my language*
webguy
10-13-2003, 03:07 PM
colin I am sorry to hear that! Depending on where you are, you might be disappointed even if they do catch him.
My friend was run down by a drunk driver, who was later aprehended. Turns out this is the third vehicular homicide this driver has been accused of. He was found guilty of the other two in a seperate accident. He spent 2 years in jail on a 5 year term for those two. Then he went to trial for my friend and got 3 years in jail. To which he is already a free man, and my friend is still gone. :(

The thing is, the drunk drivers passenger, who was also intoxicated, jumped out of the car and tried his best to revive him. But his buddy fled the scene. I commend the passenger. I would hope that he gets a minor penalty, if any. At least he had the balls to stay around and help out.
webguy
10-13-2003, 03:42 PM
Props to the passenger. Guy has heart.
That is a tough situation. Can't believe his 'friend' left the scene with a dieing person and left his friend to take the wrap. Dude should be brought up on charges for that too. Friendship laws.. we need those.

One or two of these must appear sometime or other:
'I guess I kinda lost control, because in the middle of the play I ran up and lit the evil puppet villain on fire. No, I didn't. Just kidding. I just said that to help illustrate one of the human emotions, which is freaking out. Another emotion is greed, as when you kill someone for money, or something like that. Another emotion is generosity, as when you pay someone double what he paid for his stupid puppet'.
'I bet the main reason the police keep people away from a plane crash is they don't want anybody walking in and lying down in the crash stuff, then, when somebody comes up, act like they just woke up and go, "What was THAT?!"'
