There are lots of tutorial on net for News Ticker. But all of them use the trick to show ticker in limited area like 100 px or 150 px width. They add some empty space before & after the text field value, & play on that area.
There should be a tutorial, in which we can fix any width of our news ticker. It can be 600 px width or 800 px width.
