How was this effect done in Flash

Can anyone tell how this effect has been done in Flash, the site is http://pem.org/yinyutang/
Go to the explore house section, click on top right link to Family Genealogy, then click on Start Family Tree. I'am trying to get a similar effect for some organisation type charts. I would be grateful for any advice.

through complex actionscripting. That is a difficult effect to acheive. Very cool though. That is my advice. Sorry, one could probably write a publishable book on how that was done.
