wow, i am totally impressed, just curious how you do your window screens as a moving entity, although i understand design secrets, just curious
I use actionScript for the movement and shape tweening for morphing.

i really like the feel of the animations.
the nav is real nifty. as a flash piece its top notch!
your work on this site is really great. my only concern
is that your work inside (the graphic section) could
date itself, but sometimes thats alright...some of my
favorite art/design have periods/movements attached
to them. id just like to see you push your static imagery
the way you push your animated work. its gota great
feel to it...an interesting experience...
thanks for sharing.

I wishI could help you by finding something wrong, but as hard as I tried I didn't see anything that didn't work perfectly. Its a great site, and very impressive how smoothly everything runs on it.
Just curious - how many frames per second are you using?

wow, 40? how much does it slow down the loading process? does it make it a much bigger file? i always used about 18, but your movie looks so much smoother.
thanks
dave
Of course the files are sligtly bigger... but I think the smooth animation it's worth the file size.
Note: if you're using a slow computer it wont be able to deliver 40f/s so the animation will run slower. But I'm willing to take the risk!

I really really like this site. I am baffled by your programmatic genius, as I primarily "just get by" when it comes to incorporating that into my work. I am curious as to how you set the "selected" clip to stretch over the links-- just using hittest (drag movie clip) and changing the x property? it's really neat.
I would check all your fonts, since this font (standard, or what have you) has to be set on _exact_ pixels. In some places yours appear to be a few decimals off and it appears blurry.
I notice you have a "loading" text come up before your progress indicator-- I'm not sure why the progress indicator doesn't come up right away, but on several sections it hangs on the word loading for a few seconds. (Which makes me antsy, pardon the pun.. I need immediate feedback of progress!! :)
the guestbook is AWESOME.
Also, how did you build the traffic stats indicator? This is also tres chic. :)

Hmm.. I noticed something interesting about your pop up window.. when i went back to look, aroots crashed my browser. went again, crashed again.
don't know why, weird it didn't do it the first time.
IE5 windows. :/

ok, 3rd time is the charm-- didn't crash. weirdness.
so how _did_ you do the pop up window? I'm quite perplexed. :)
Extremely appreciate your feedback :)
And thanks for the compliments.
So many questions!! I'll try to explain each one.
The stretching is a bit more complicated than it looks. No time to explain I'm afraid!
Yes, I know about the fonts. But in some places (like on the main menu) there is nothing I can go about it since the dynaminc text fiels have to be centered. But maybe there are other ones that excaped me!
The loading bit is needed because each section is a seperate file. So it needs to load the font used on the proloader (15kb) before it can start preloading!
Don't know of the Chromeless window crashing in IE, you are the first I hear of. Maybe try refreshing the page might help.
Best Regards,
Ant.
PS> Olga Nunes?! Isso soa-me Portugues ou Espanhol!!!

I will try to go through and see if it is anywhere other than the main page... is there not a way to make sure the text field is centered and still at an even pixel number? (I love that font so I have that problem daily. ;)
I would suggest making the word loading blink or have some slight movement (an hourglass, clock??) so I don't think It's crashed. I am SUPER impatient. :)
another question.. how does the X on the window close the window without bringing up that annoying pop up (this window is trying to close itself, agree? ) or some such.
PPS~~~It's portuguese.. actually. :) The name, that is.
My father is from Brazil.. born in Rio. I understand a very little bit of portuguese, but mainly because I can speak spanish because my mom is from Spain.
I'm very curious about Brazil because my father essentially disowned his family when he was 20.. and also left behind an ex-wife and a handful of kids. So I don't know anyone on my father's side-- I've never been there. One time I had a guy called Luis Nunes ICQ me saying he was my brother... completely mistaken identity but eerie nonetheless. ;)

ant . .i'm sure you know this by now . .but your site is HOT! i love the simlple playing between teh two lines in the beginning .. extremeley entertaing. had me grining ear to ear. I gave it the ol' bookmark of approval and look forward to viewing it in the future.
Biggesst prob . .i'm viewing on a blue and white G3 with netscape 4.7 and it just didn't happen .. it crashed my browser 3 times. . instantly when i tried you URL so i had to view it in IE.
Other . .half your text is fine . .but alot of it is blurry be sure to align in to the pixel for sharpness. If your not sure how .. lemme know.
would love to hear what you have to say about my most recent site . .

errogers - Thanks for your feedback. I'm aware of the chromless window crashing in NS (mac). I am considering removing it as soon as I get the time.
I also know of blured the text fields (on the main menu). But there is nothing I can do since they have to be centered Dynamic fields.

ant . .
not entirely sure y your text fileds have to be centered .. but i just ran a quick experiment and set them to the top left corner and the worked fine . .if you play with teh #'s a lil bit even when there centered you can maek them pretty crisp.
Sorry to annoy . .but its just one of those things.

ok errogers i'll have a go.
ok I fixed it. The main menu isn't blured anymore.
Do u find blured text anywhere else on the site?
Thanks,
Ant.

I liked your design quite a bit. Very elegant, loaded fast on my 56k dial up.
My only comment is I'd like to see thumbnails of your portfolio pieces in addition to the brief descriptions you have. Perhaps a little description of your specific role in the project would be nice.
Very very good work
Thanks Emylia - that's not a bad Idea at all :)
