animated text with action script

I was using the animating text with action script tutorial (#2)and ran into a problem. After adding this text into a movie that I was creating, I tried to add another layer after (one zooming text) upon doing this, the actionscript stopped working properly. Can you tell me what I did wrong or what I have to do when adding layers after this action script. Thanks

Have any of your poerations perhaps changed the path to variables?

Check by Testing your movie (Ctrl Enter) then Ctrl Alt V to view the paths to variables.
If you're variable paths have changed the animation might not work.

Also make sure you've embedded the font in the font-field.
