racing game

hey,

I am developing a racing game for my site and am having problems with the lap numbers. I have it so when the car hits a white line it adds 1 to the laps textfield evrery time. When this happens it adds before and after the car passes the white line. Does anyone have any information on this, if so i need your help.

That is because it is on the line in one or two frames. Only allow it to happen once per 10 frames or something. Giving it time to move off the line.
