hi,

if trying to figure out how this effect is done.

if you go to: http://www.fleurdeelite.com/index_flash.php

and click on the portfolio section.

it seems like there would be one piece of actionscript assigned to each button.

does anyone have any suggestions?

Here's a sample. It's not identical, but I've managed to get it to work similarly.

Each clip has it's own number called myStrip (set within the clip itself).
A variable stripNum is set when a strip is rollOver.
An enterFrame() script checks stripNum against myStrip and moves the frame animation forward or backwards.

You should be able to put some cool scripts in to manage the tint or alpha on rollOver and rollOut.
