need others to help test page

It really bugs me when something works great in the testing mode in flash, when testing with the 56k modem setting, but it but doesn't work at all on the web.

That's when I don't know what else to do but ask people to see if it's misbehaving.

I made a component that loads a movie and fades it in. I works great on one page that loads jpgs, but won't load a swf on this page:

To initiate loading you have to click on the envelope in the corner.

If you could tell me the speed of your connection and if it loaded that would be helpful.

Um... I briefly saw the preloader that goes like pie chart... and then, there is nothing on the screen afterwards... No envelope or whatsoever... :(

IE 6 / W2K / FP 7,0,14,0 / 56k (which works as if I am on 1200bps)

I followed a tutorial that instructs to make 3 scenes.

1. preloader
2. components you want to add dynamically placed off stage and the shared libray image.
3. your main movie.

I'm trying to get the bytes down to a minimum by attaching components dynamically, and loading jpgs (envelope) in the main frame.

The page that it fades in is only 24 kb. It was 70kb with the textfields placed manually on the stage.

After all that fixing and it still doesn't load!

I'm getting a little discouraged.

I am sure that you've followed the general idea behind this preloading and the component from this tutorial, right???
