Well, this probably would fall under the 'How did they do this?' category, but I came across this site recently. I was not overly impressed by the design until I came across their menus.

Just go to the link below, click on Unify at the top and play around with the menu. It is a verry clean drop-down menu design for multiple categories of information.

Does anyone know of or have a sample of something that does this?

o man that sucks....... itz not even smooth...

they could do it 2 ways, one would be animating each of the button menu motions and doing it that way
or
using actionscript and display the elements ...

BUT OMG IT SUCKS... theres probably way better nav systems in the movie section here @ AS.org :confused:

LOL! Sorry you didn't like them.

You clicked on 'Unify' and played with the menus on the left? I know the site ain't that great, but I liked those menus on the left. They run very smooth to me. I know there isn't much to them, but I like they way they handle multiple information categories.

I dug around in the library and didn't find anything like this.

well dave you could REALLY post in the animation section to get any idea on how to do this.

Like I said you can just motion tween it for the smooth effect, or use masking and actionscript to do the sliders

That site sucks, its probably the suckiest site that ever sucked, man that sucky site really did suck, how could it suck more than it already sucks ?

I was just pointing out a thread that might interest Mr JHallam, thats all.

Take it easy - you can post whatever you want - but you cannot come back and keep on saying that people are not getting the message, if you post a site that sucks, then each individual who is going to reply is obviously going to comment and reply saying it was not that good - thats just logic.

naaaaw. i wasn't getting mad, snapple. i was actually kind of joking. my jokes get less and less funny as i become more and more caffeinated throughout the day. sorry to give u that impression. :D

lmao, that menu wasn't that great. The site had absolutely no good animations, or anything for that matter. They might as well of made that site in HTML to save the loading times. Oh well, it wasn't a good Cool Sites post, as its supposed to be a cool site (;)), but I'm not going to beat you up for it. :rolleyes:

Been hitting the Trimethylxanthine then ? Remember if your experiencing 'spaz-outs' then you might want to cut down from tablets containing 953mg of tri/bi/methylxanthine to about 50mg of pure Caffeine - around 5mg.kg bw-1 is reckoned enough to produce a response from the central nervous system.

That site is a web/flash design firm, I believe. They had a site featured in the Flash Showcase at Macromedia.com.

Snapple - I recommend crystal meth for those crunch times when you need a pick me up. But that's just me.

Yeah - heated debate in cool sites forum :)

I drink way too much coffee, i mean really too much - about 3 months ago i was averaging around 10 cups a day, mayb a few caffeine tablets in the evening.

That amount of Caffeine would not effect you in anyway - Caffeine does increase stomach acidity, but only in large quantities (per body weight kg-1). Also remember it has many good qualities as well as bad ones.
