View Full Version : transparent png's with "outlines"

I am using png's in a eventual screensaver idea. But they have an "outline" around them. This kind of kills the effect I am trying to acheive to make them blend into the background. Have a look at the link and see.

Any help or direction would be great.

Thanx

Hi,

the edges look kind of jagged, like there is happening some jpeg compression. did you activate "lossless png/gif" for the graphics in question?

another possibility: did you save the png as 8 bit or 24 bit? 8 bit might produce white edges because of the lower color range.

They are 24-bit png. Do you think it might have something to do with the anti-alias on the edges not giving a 100% and thus not becoming totally transparent???
