View Full Version : LoadVariablesNum and ColdFusion

I have a Flash MC that loads variables from an external file.

loadVariablesNum ("varflash60.txt?" add random(2000), 0);

The text file contains the following:

&CheckLoaded=1&CountEntries=26

This works fine.

HOWEVER, when I produce the exact same text dynamically with varflash60.cfm, Flash doesn't load it properly. For this project I need to dynamically generate the variables with ColdFusion from a SQL query, not with a static text file. I have checked for extra whitespace and such produced in CF that might be a problem, but can't seem to get it working.

Any help with this? Thanks!

In answer to my own question...

Flash seems to be finicky with ampersands in the variable string.

This works with loading from a .TXT file but not .CFM

&CheckLoaded=1&CountEntries=25

and this works with a .CFM file.

CheckLoaded=1&CountEntries=25
