be harsh...i'm learning MUCH with this site. I still have yet to add a slideshow of spa installs on the left side of the home page. the rest of the pages are placeholders for now.

I noticed when checking my site from home on dialup tonight that my initial preloader isn't working...any thoughts as to what would cause this?

okay, I agree that is does not look like a flash site, however in my eyes, that is a good thing. So the overall look is good. But as bluegel indicated, the buttons are hard to notice and read. Up the contrast a bit.
I have a similar button bar on the prototype:

Also, the logo at the top is, well, terrible. Only my opinion, but it's pretty amateurish looking. Too big.
Are the sections loaded swfs? If so, take a look at BillyT's tutorial on smooth transitions to get rid of the "destructive" refresh you have now.
For example, see this 80% finished site and notice how each section fades in and out rather than just disappear:
http://www.netstryke.com
But it's not bad, just some polishing and honing and it will become a good site.
I would try to do something about the tan background against the swf. I suggest either making the site full page, or doing something to soften the border between your site and that color. It is a bit off right now.

you know I looked at this again, maybe it's the pseudo metallic button bars that don't quite fit the site? yeah, a different style of top and bottom border.
Also that font and size of the title is too whacked, something more traditional that states "reliability, comfort, relaxation". The font makes me think of Terminater, both in font face and colour.
But I do think the layout and slide show and graphics are very appropriate for the product. :)
