Gradient alpha transission

Hi

I need some help with this...

I have a Logo text that I want to come from nothing to full. Using alpha its easy to do on all the text. But how can i do like a gradient transission so its starts in a coner instead? Is there any easy ways around this?
I have tryed with mask but it seems that you cant do alpha on mask!

You do it the pother way around. You make the text as a mask and have a gradient under it that you move and that also has the proper alpha gradient.
