very clean, "non-flash" design (I mean it does not scream out: hey I'm made of flash!) :)

When I first heard about May1Reboot.com was two years ago and I was first messing around with html/dhtml and css. I was then trying to come up with my own site, that's always being worked on...and when I saw this site and its plans for a may 1 reboot, in which anyone who was interested and signed up, shut down their websites to "reboot" them with a brand new design, it appealed to me. It was also quite interesting to see so many different web design sites [inlcuding flash] participated and their own unique approach to web design...
They are doing it again for this May 1st 2004, so if anyone is interested in participating, keep checking the site for more details on how to sign up...
ps. Im not sure if I will be participating, since my site has been remotely down for quite some time now, and many people have been waiting to see what I have to share...I don't think I can wait till May 1 2004...but then again maybe I can...
Take care,
And thanks for checking it out....

The site has been updated a bit, as they are calling for designers and flashers to sign up! Enter the contest if you have the time and if you find this interesting and willing.

man I saw this a few months ago and I think it is a really awesome idea. I am definitely going to participate, although time will dictate how different my site ends up being. You only are really supposed to take your site down for a month. And it's a really great way to get your work out there. There are no standards or judges for participating. You just sign up.
I will miss my site for a month like anyone else, but it's part of the sacrifice so you can have a solid month of creating new work without distractions. I think anyone who thinks of their web deisgn work as art should participate.
