The following link is my first freelance job, and is of a local restaurant. It is supposed to look crisp and straightforward, with no special effects really. But I wanted to use Flash because I can design better layouts in flash, plus I like fading text.

Many thanks

I think all squares and boxes are confusing.

And navigations on two different locations on a site is also quite confusing.

Is there anyway to get back to the first page (where the explanation on how to navigate shows up)

I think you should have ONE menu that includes the MENU option, then expand it and from there be able to choose all the items from your top-menu...

Ok thats fair enough, I don't really want a home page, I think navigation these days especially on Flash doesn't really need it.

I suppose I could include a bit of text explaining the navigation of the site in the box that has the mute button.

Did you see the font, I use Futurist Fixed-width

Sorry, didn't see the font. A saw a default (I think!) Times New Roman or something similar.

Well I have embedded the font, I'm sure I have

I have updated the movie, is it still showing the default font?

Looks good i IE, but the default font is showing up in Mozilla and Opera!

Ok, do you know how to get around that or is that just the way it is. My target audience is middle aged men and women, so they more than likely have Internet Explorer as their default browser.

I wouldn't say that my friend. You're working for a client here, not yourself, and you better make this available to everyone at its best state possible. I realize its just a font, but sometimes the smallest things make the biggest difference.

Your site was pretty good, the animation was a tad chappy...

I appreciate the comment Colin, but my I was making my comment towards my target audience not myself. If I was designing for a group of mac students then I would probally test the site on safari, but honestly if I were to do a survey of the customers in the restaurant, 90% wouldn't know what Opera is.

Anywy thanks for the positive comments.
