Countdown to date

Please Please could someone show us how to put together a movie with a countdown in it?

I'm new to actionscript and I'd like to be able to make a countdown to a particular date. The movie will be used as a screensaver. Some script that compares the current days date(from system clock) and looks at the specific future date and tells you how many days, minutes etc are left to go.
