flash detection

I read in the tutorial section about the flash detection but I was wondering how you would do it the opposite way, I have a little shockwave file within a html page, if the user dont have flash is there a way to have to lanch them into a index page without the animation?

My favourite flash detector is COllin Moock's FPI as it allows you to determine the version of Flash the user has, if any, and direct them to different pages accordingly.
