setMask - help me i have to finish this by the end of the month

the setMask function doesn't work nearly fast enough for me, and i don't want to embed an entire font, anyone know any other way to make device fonts appear under a mask?

I'm not sure what you mean exactly with the setMask not working fast enough.

But about making the device fonts appear under the mask, setMask should do just that trick. Are you sure youre using the corrext syntax?

i have a lot of dynamically loaded movied under the mask with xml data layed over them so flash player takes a little while to redraw everything under the mask, but when i published the movie and viewed it in a webbrowser that didn't happen so i'm not worried anymore.
