Mask and textfield!!! Isn't it possible?

I have created a layer with a textfield and i create a mask so as to appear only the half of the text. (I want to creat a scrolling news-system)

Can't it be done?

Why isn't flash able to mask a textfield?

Hey, You have to turn the textfield into a movieclip first for masking to work.
